The courtroom at the Monroe County Courthouse Annex was filled with people protesting the state's plan to create a marine reserve.


Thirty-five sheriff's deputies busted eight suspected crack houses and arrested nine people in a series of raids on Stock Island.


An underage driver led Monroe County deputies on a high-speed chase that ended when she ran into a tree on Stock Island.

The Key West City Commission voted to delay for two weeks the passage of the $1.35 million bond for the city's capital improvement program.


Postmaster Clyde Stickney reported that parcel post and letters were up by 7 percent over the previous year.
